Exhibits, Ribbon Cutting and ABQ Showcase
August is heating up with two First Friday exhibits at Ghostwolf and Tortuga Galleries on August 2, a ribbon cutting for the Orpheum Community Hub Mural on Monday, August 12, 1:30-2:30pm, and the Albuquerque Art Showcase at the Convention Center frrm August 15-19.
First Friday at Ghostwolf and Tortuga Galleries
Ghostwolf Gallery, 2043 South Plaza St NW, will be featuring our newest Local Treasure, the owner/artist; Amy M. Ditto is joining the ranks for treasures showing at the gallery along with Laura Wacha, Roe LiBretto and Denise Weaver Ross. All four of us will be displaying work in the West Gallery on Friday, August 2, from 5-8pm.

On Friday, August 2 from 6-8pm. Tortuga Gallery, 901 Edith St. SE, will be highlighting the artists that will be in the Tortuga booths for the showcase: Andrew Fearnside, Chris Newbill, Denise Weaver Ross, Eliza Schmid, Janine Wilson, Julie Brokken, Lesley Long, Linsay Locke, Marian Berg, Mary Jane Milz, Roe LiBretto, Sean Wells, and Vicki Bolen. The Showcase runs from August 15-19 at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Ribbon Cutting for Completed Mural!
The City of Albuquerque and Homewise will have a ribbon cutting dedication for the Orpheum Community Hub Mural celebrating the history and culture of Barelas neighborhood on Monday, August 12 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. The ceremony is to be held at the mural site, the headquarters of Homewise, at 500 Second Street SW, Albuquerque.

Follow the Tiger’s Tail to the Albuquerque Art Showcase
August 15-19 at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The showcase is taking place during the same weekend as Santa Fe’s Indian Market, this event is an exciting part of the largest visual arts weekend in New Mexico. The Albuquerque Art Showcase will spotlight 125 of the finest artists of New Mexico and beyond. Look for the Tortuga Gallery and the Ghostwolf Gallery booths to check out my work.
